2018 GATS DEEPAVALI CULTURAL ENTRY REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON Sunday Oct 7th, 2018 05:00 PM

It‘s time to celebrate 2018 Deepavali with a blast !!  Get ready to present your song, dance and acting skills at the event. The theme for this year's event is “தமிழை நேசித்து அறம் செய்திட இணைவோம்!”. We are looking for exciting program entries for the grand celebration of the event.

If you are interested in performing, please take a moment to register your entry. GATS committee will review and help you in your efforts in making this a great memorable event for you and the audience.

Deepavali celebration Event Date       : Saturday, November 17, 2018

    Deadline to register for entries   : October 20^th 2018**

To register, please read the guidelines below and click the "Register your Program Entry" button at the bottom of this page. 

Entry Guidelines

1. Each participating entry should have a minimum of 6 participants.
2. Entries will be accepted on first come, first serve basis and will be subjected to balancing of variety between dance, music, and skits.
3. Participants cannot participate in more than one cultural event.
4. After registration, coordinators will be receiving an email confirmation, once their entry is confirmed.
5. All music for the cultural program should be in Tamil only. Non-Tamil words or song bits shouldn’t be added in song selection, and failure to do so will void the cultural entry.
6. All music files, video files, presentation files, emcee info, participant list, skit and drama dialogues for your entry should be provided to GATS by October 28, 2018.
7. Costumes (photo/video), dance movements (video) and concepts (Text/email) for dance entries should be submitted to the GATS for preview latest by Nov 4, 2018, in the specified format.
8. If GATS Cultural Committee needs to review an entry in person, location and time details will be provided by GATS for in-person preview. No-show for in-person preview will void your entry.
9. All entries should adhere to our Tamil culture and GATS Media policy.
10. The maximum time allowed per dance program will be 3 minutes.
11. The maximum time allowed per music program will be 3 minutes.
12. The maximum time allowed for Medley (dance or music) will be 5 minutes.
13. Repetition of a song in medley is allowed only for the first two entries. In the case of the third entry, coordinators of the later submission must change the song.
14. Repetitions of Full songs will not be allowed. In the case of such situation, the coordinator of the later submission must change the song.
15. The maximum time allowed per skit/drama will be 10 minutes. Dialogues should be pre-recorded and submitted by October 28, 2018.
16. Program coordinators are responsible for giving the participant’s current membership information, collecting non-members fee and signed waiver forms from all participants/parents. To be submitted to GATS latest November 1, 2018.
17. All participants must be present at the venue by 1 p.m. If you miss your slot, your entry will be moved to the end depending on time availability.
18. For adult entries, only the participants will be allowed to access the backstage prior to their slot.
19. For kid entries, only program coordinator and one additional helping adult will be allowed to access the backstage.
20. GATS Cultural Committee reserves the right to make the final decision on all program entries.
