2014 Super Singer- Program Entry

This is the registration page for the 2014 GATS Super Singer event.  

REGISTER BY THE DEADLINE OF AUG. 23rd MIDNIGHT.  To register, please read the guidelines below and click the "Register" button at the bottom of this page.

Performance Guidelines

• Contestant Levels
• Junior Singer:  Age 6 to 15 years
• Senior Singer:  Age 16 years and older

Selection Rounds

Events will be held at Old Atlanta Park and Recreation Center, 810 Nichols Road, Suwanee

1. 1st round  will be held on Aug. 24th (2 pm - 6 pm)
2. 2nd round (Folk) will be held on Sep. 7th (2 pm - 6 pm)
3. 3rd round (Melody) will be held on Sep. 14th (2 pm - 6 pm)
4. 4th round (Western) will be held on Sep. 21st (2 pm - 6 pm)
5. 5th round (Classical) will be held on Oct. 5th (2 pm - 6 pm)
6. Grand Finale: TBD

Event Rules

1. A good quality Back Ground Music (Karaoke) is preferred for each and every round.
    
2. Super Singer 2014 contestants are requested to bring their own Back Ground Music (Karaoke). Poor quality of BGM track may impact the over all permanence for which GATS is not accountable for.
    
3. Songs should be selected strictly from Tamil movies. Super Singer 2014 Contestants should not repeat the song or genre. This will definitely have a negative impact on their score.
    
4. Song selection has to be made by end of day Wednesday before each round and should be emailed to ss2014@gatamilsangam.org. BGM or Karaoke tracks should reach GATS Super Singer 2014 organizers by Friday before each round, so that the organizers can review the quality ahead of time and recommend good quality tracks.
    
5. Due to time constraints Super Singer 2014 contestants may be allowed to sing Pallavi and 1 Charanam.
    
6. Super Singer 2014 Contestants should come prepared with at-least two songs for 1st Round.
    
7. Scores will be disclosed immediately after the performance and eliminations will be announced after end of every round.
    
8. Music teachers or play back singers will not be allowed to participate in Super Singer 2014 competition.

10. To maintain consistency in evaluating the performance, eliminations will be strictly based on aggregated scores from all rounds and not just from current day’s performance alone. For instance if someone is getting eliminated in Round 3, will be based on aggregate score from all three rounds.
11. Decisions of the judges are final.

13. GATS is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures that are human or technical in nature. But in case of Technical issues with Audio system or the Audio file itself, the contestants may be allowed to either start all over from the beginning or from the point at which interruption occurred.
     
14. GATS reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this contest, or extend the duration of the contest, without notice if circumstances beyond GATS's control, including technical difficulties, disrupt or corrupt the fair or secure administration or operation of the contest.
     
15. GATS is entitled to interpret these rules as needed and its decisions are final. If any issue arises, and is not clearly addressed in the rules and regulations, the decision of GATS shall be binding.
     
16. By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless GATS and its officers, directors, affiliates, representatives or volunteers from any and all claims for damages, injuries, causes of actions, or losses of any kind sustained from your participation in this contest, including infringement of intellectual property rights.
     
17. GATS and its officers, directors, affiliates, representatives and volunteers assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.
