2014 GATS Deepavali Celebration - Program Entry

Help us celebrate the 2014 Deepavali with a blast by presenting your song/dance based on this year's theme,  "தமிழன் என்று சொல்லடா தலை நிமிர்ந்து நில்லடா" !!!. This year, we are again looking for exciting program entries for the FINAL big celebration of GATS in 2014.  If you have an idea for a performance, please take a moment to register your entry! GATS committee will review and help you in your efforts to making this a great event.

To register, please read the guidelines below and  click the "Register your Program Entry" button at the bottom of this page.  **Deadline to register is Oct 05th** If we get  enough registrations for the time slot we will close the registrations early. 

The registration is closed as of 9/26/2014 due to overwhelming response from the community. If we get any cancellations, we can accommodate more programs. Please contact culturalcommittee@gatamilsangam.org for any questions, or available slots.

Performance Guidelines

1. Each participating entry should have a minimum of 5 participants

2. All entries must be received before the deadline of October 5th, 2014. In case we receive enough registrations before the deadline GATS will close the registration link and we will not be able to accept anymore registrations.

3. Any music/video/presentation files/emcee info/participant list for your program should be provided before October 15th, 2014

4. Repetition of a song in medley is allowed only for the first two entries. In case of the third entry, coordinators of the later submission must change the song.

Repetitions of Full songs are not allowed.  In case of such situation, the coordinator of the later submission must change the song.

5. The maximum time per dance program is 5 minutes. In case of medleys time allowed will be 7 minutes and GATS Cultural Committee restricts the number of Medley entries to accommodate the group entries to balance the interest expressed.

6. The maximum time per skit/drama is 15 minutes and it is strongly recommended that you prerecord the dialogues. Entries are limited for drama and accepted on first cum first served basis.

7. The maximum time per music program is 5 minutes.

8. Program coordinators are responsible for giving the participant membership information, collecting non-members fee and signed waiver forms from all participants / parents.

9. Costumes cannot be off shoulder, sleeveless, short clothing for participants.

10. All the entries will be accepted on first come first served basis  

11. GATS Cultural team would like to see a preview of the program before the event. Details will be provided later.

12. GATS Cultural Committee reserves the right to make the final decision.
